Third live recording for gospel music icon Takie Ndou

Takie Ndou, the popular gospel artist, songwriter, and music producer, is poised to make a major comeback during his forthcoming live recording. The live recording, called “The Glory”, will take place at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on 20 April.

Ndou’s last recording was a virtual show that happened during the Covid-19 pandemic on 17 October 2020, when he recorded his classic album titled “The Great Revival”.

The award-winning artist from Hamutsha outside Louis Trichardt says he is looking forward to the recording and that it will be a humdinger. “I am very scared and nervous but also excited at the same time as this has always been my dream to do a show at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena. With a venue of 5,000 capacity, my prayer to God is that these are not my people but God’s people,” he says.

Ndou says that he has written 21 new songs for the album and his fans can be assured of quality music. “I am still working with the same band I have been using for the past 14 years,” he says.

According to Ndou, his songs are meant to give hope and encourage people, especially when facing challenges. “There are features to be expected like my longtime friend Rofhiwa Manyaga, my spiritual father and mentor Rev Benjamin Dube, two artists from Tanzania, and one from Swaziland. I always like giving opportunities and a platform to upcoming artists, and I am happy to announce that one artist I am mentoring, Tsiko Mal, is also featured on this recording,” Ndou said.

Ndou is known for his countless hits, such as Una Ndavha, Baba Ngisite, and Imvula Iyeta, among others. He has made great impact in the gospel industry since 2013, and his music has grown in South Africa, the continent, and all over the world.
