Mpheni Defenders come up against XI Bullets in ABC Motsepe clash

The Mpheni Grounds in the Elim area will be the centre of attention for soccer lovers on Saturday. This is where the much-awaited ABC Motsepe League clash between Mpheni Defenders and Vondwe XI Bullets will be staged.

Bullets and Defenders are sharpened to kill this season, with both seriously contesting the league championship. Defenders are currently shining on top of the league log with 21 points from nine matches. Bullets are not far away, in 3rd place with 15 points accumulated from the same number of matches. Defenders remain undefeated so far and last Saturday managed to beat Munaca FC, 2-1 at the Makhado Show Grounds.

In other ABC Motsepe clashes, Musina United are awaiting Emmanuel FC at the Musina Rugby Stadium. Musina United are battling to find a winning combination this season, having managed to win only one of the eight matches they have played so far. Their sole victory was a 2-1 win over Munaca FC two weeks ago.

Munaca FC will host Maruleng Celtic at the Makhado Show Grounds. Celtic, who bought their ABC Motsepe franchise from Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC at the beginning of the season, have been blowing hot and cold in their last four matches.

Winners Park and United Artists will fight for league points at the Westfalia Stadium outside Tzaneen. Whether United Artists will manage to rise to the occasion and register their first victory remains to be seen. The other fixtures are Mokopane PJ Stars vs Ditlou FC, Eleven Fast Tigers vs City Motors, Tzaneen United vs Tubatse United, and The Dolphins FC vs Nkowankowa Continentals.
