Mayweather' Ramaliba loses on split-point decision

The training manager of local light-heavyweight boxer Fulufhelo “Mayweather” Ramaliba, Mr. John “Smoking Joe” Nemakonde, said his fighter had fought brilliantly against Dalon Processor at Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park last Friday.

He said that even though Ramaliba had lost on a split-point decision, the local boxer had displayed his best boxing skills during the fight. “Dalon Processor is one of the best boxers around, but Ramaliba matched him punch for punch from the first to the last round. I am very proud of him. He has a very bright future ahead of him,” he said.

Speaking to Limpopo Mirror on Monday morning, a very relaxed Ramaliba said he was surprised that he had lost on a split-point decision. “I feel I did enough to win the fight, but the judges saw it the other way. I will just rest for a week and go back to the gym. Next time I have to help the judges by stopping my opponent from going the distance,” he said.
