Gee D'Art's latest song pays homage to God

Hip-hop artist Gee D’Art from Malavuwe village released the music video for his latest track, “Hallelujah”, on Friday, 31 May. The new song, featuring Given Da Chief, offers a glimpse of what fans can expect from this talented musician.

Born Azwifarwi Mukwevho, Gee D’Art grew up in a Christian family, which also influenced his style of music. His latest song articulates gratitude to God within a world filled with chaos and uncertainty.

The single is part of his highly anticipated upcoming EP, “Role Model”, set to be released later this year. “I trust it will resonate deeply with my fans’ souls and establish a powerful tone for my upcoming EP. With its inspiring lyrics and captivating melody, the song showcases my unique ability to convey profound messages through music,” he said.

Commencing his musical journey as a Deejay, Gee D’Art began experimenting with house and dance-hall beats while he was in Grade 8 some years ago. He utilised the software programme Fruity Loops as a canvas to paint his emotions. He is best known for creating beats. He believes his latest song offers listeners a compelling insight into the journey and experiences that have shaped his current project.

He describes himself as an innovator and aims to challenge conventional hip-hop production norms by blending various genres, thereby creating a fresh musical landscape. Having graced numerous stages nationwide alongside acclaimed artists such as Sjava and DJ Tbo Touch, Gee D’Art has participated in various art festivals and exhibitions.
