Die publiek is getrakteer op 'n vuurkragdemonstrasie van die Lugmagbasis Makhado verlede Woensdag, 29 Augustus 2012 by die Roodewal-bombaan.

Travelling to Makhado for the road race, sleeping over and not doing the mountain bike ride is a sin! The three distances, a 50km, 30km, and 10km leaves you with the choice depending on how your legs feel after the stage race. This race treated the riders to some of the best single track, climbs, down hills and views over Makhado.

The 175km stage race took place on 9 June 2012 in the Soutpansberg area. The strong wind made the going tough, knocking minutes off their pace, compared to previous years. Saturday’s strong wind did not, however, deter the top names and teams in South African cycling. Here are a gallery of pictures celebrating the event.
