More accolades for Benny’s Care?

Sport - Date: 17 October 2014

The evergreen Benny’s Care football team has promised to leave no stone unturned to win the national Copa Coca Cola U/15 championship that will take place at the King Zwelithini Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal from today (Friday) to Sunday.

Benny’s team manager, Mr Richardt Sidebi, remains positive that his charges will win the tournament.

This is the sixth successive time for the school to participate in the Copa Coca-Cola competition. Under the watchful eye of coach Justice Matloga, they have won the provincial title for four consecutive years.

Sidebi said the tournament had become one of the most important events on the sports calendar. "We expect tough matches and want to maintain our winning momentum. We want to make history by being the first Limpopo team to win the national championship."

According to him, the team’s performance in all the matches they had played was excellent, but they must use their opportunities to score goals better.

The other schools that will participate in the tournament are Robinvale Secondary (Western Cape), SA van Wyk High (Northern Cape), Slindokuhle Secondary (KwaZulu-Natal), Sikhulile Secondary (Eastern Cape), Clapham High School (Gauteng) and Thlavekisa Secondary School (Mpumalanga).
