Justice the new coach of Madridtas FC

Sport - Date: 19 August 2016

It is now official. Mr Justice Mtileni is the head coach of Madridtas Football Club.

According to Mtileni, his appointment came into effect at the beginning of this month. In an interview with Limpopo Mirror, Mtileni indicated that part of his contractual mandate was to ensure that the team was counted among the top eight at the end of the season.

When asked as to whether that was achievable, Mtileni stated that the mandate was not difficult for him, considering the fact that they had a rock-solid squad. He said that he was building on the squad they relied upon when they were campaigning in the SAB League last season.

Madridtas were the SAB League SAFA Vhembe overall champions last season. They represented the region in the provincial promotional play-offs in Polokwane but failed to make the grade.

Mtileni is not a new name in the history of local football. He was the head coach of Maindis Ladies FC for two seasons before joining the Vodacom Promotional League side, Basel FC, five years ago.

He guided Basel for two seasons before his appointment as the 2010 FNB Legacy head coach. The 39-year-old mentor is equipped with a CAF A coaching license, SAFA Youth coaching certificate, FIFA grassroots coaching certificate and Ajax Cape Town Academy coaching certificate.

Madridtas have won two of the three matches they played under the guidance of Mtileni and drew one.
