Can Leopards beat Milano United?

Sport - Date: 23 September 2016

After beating Santos 2-1 in their NFD League match at the Parow Park Stadium in Cape Town last Sunday afternoon, Black Leopards are gearing up for their next fixture against Milano United at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

A quick glance at the history of the two teams shows Milano will be lucky if they manage to hold Lidoda Duvha to a draw.

The Cape Town side lost 0-2 to Leopards in their first-round league match at the same venue last year and they also lost 1-2 in their second-round league match at the Blue Downs Stadium in Cape Town. According to the spokesperson for Black Leopards, Mr Berry Ramunenyiwa, the team has a clean bill of health, except for their right back, Marks Munyai, who has been advised not to kick the ball for two more weeks.

The match of the week will be between Amazulu and University of Pretoria at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban. Amazulu and Amatuks are lying in the second and third position on the log respectively. Magezi will  play against Witbank Spurs and Thanda Royal Zulu will meet Mbombela United at the Kanyamazane Stadium.

This evening, Stellenbosch FC will take on Royal Eagles, while Cape Town All Stars will meet Santos at the Parow Park Stadium in their Cape Town derby.
