Benny's Care Soccer Academy wants to bring the Danone Nations Cup U/12 trophy back to Vhembe when they participate in the provincial matches at Hoërskool Noorderland in Polokwane tomorrow (Saturday).

They are going to play against the winners from the other four districts around the province. Last year, Benny’s were beaten in the finals of the Vhembe District by Haggai school. Haggai ended in third position.

In 2016, Benny’s won the national final and represented South Africa internationally.

The coach of Benny’s, Mr Mbishi Mokoena, promises to repeat history by winning the provincial tournament and going to the national finals. “This is the fourth consecutive year that we have made it to the national finals, something that we are proud of, and we want to keep the tradition going.”

Mokoena states that their squad has all the ingredients for winning the championship. He says that the players are highly motivated after they played well in their friendly matches the previous weeks. They know the other teams are in top form of late and they have left no stone unturned in their preparations for the matches, he adds.
