Another tricky hurdle ahead for Rodadau FC

Sport - Date: 21 June 2024

After a weekend of unexpected results, the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the Sasol Women’s League are set to play their opening second-round league matches this weekend. Six matches will take place on Saturday, with the remaining two scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Rodadau FC, who played to a 2-2 draw with Sisters FC at the Tshitungulwane Grounds outside Vuwani last Saturday, face a significant challenge this Saturday. They will travel to Phalaborwa to play against Sealene Ladies at the Lulekani Stadium. Rodadau, currently second on the log with 19 points, three points behind the leaders Sinthumulekutama FC, must secure a win to keep their championship hopes alive. Underestimating Sealene Ladies, who narrowly lost 0-1 to Sinthumulekutama FC last Saturday, would be a grave error for Rodadau.

In another critical match, Sinthumulekutama FC will face Real Mighty Girls at the Xikukwani Stadium outside Giyani. Mighty Girls are riding high after a 2-0 victory over Tshandama Young Stars. Meanwhile, Tshandama Young Stars will play Masakona Liberty Experience at the Tshandama Grounds, where their key players Mashudu “Mudagasi” Davhana and Arinao Mudzielwana are expected to make a significant impact.

Sisters FC will host Merwe United Ladies at the Dynamos Grounds in Bolobedu outside Tzaneen. Merwe United are still searching for their first league win this season.

Other fixtures for the weekend include: the University of Limpopo vs FC 50 Stars United, Ramatlaohle Ladies vs Golden Diamonds Ladies, Mandebele Happy Fighters Ladies vs Maindis Ladies, and Marumo Gallants vs Kanatla Ladies.
