Napoli FC and Madridtas Academy in final of ABC Top 32 clash

Sport - Date: 06 September 2024

The final batch of the round-of-32 matches in the ABC Foundation Soccer Tournament will take place at the Khubvi Benjie’s Grounds on Saturday, with four matches scheduled for the day.

The action kicks off at 09:00 with Madridtas Academy FC facing Napoli FC. Napoli are in high spirits after winning the Lumveleni Soccer Tournament at the Ngudza Grounds three weeks ago. Madridtas will not have time to celebrate or watch the other games; immediately after their match, they will head to the Phiphidi Guvhukuvhu Grounds for a quarter-final clash against Vhembe Tron FC in the Mdledle Soccer Tournament, set to start at 13:00.

Next, Univen FC will go up against Thengwe Flying Peace. Univen FC, who recently participated in the Safa Vhembe Champ of Champs, were unfortunately eliminated in the group stages.

Dipeni FC will look to make a strong impression as they take on SMSA FC. Dipeni are relatively unknown to SMSA, adding an element of unpredictability to the match. Later in the afternoon, Rabali Pull Together will meet Makhuvha Up The Ants at 15:00.

The tournament champions will receive R50,000 in prize money, a soccer kit, gold medals, and a floating trophy. The final is scheduled for Sunday, 29 September, at the Makonde Stadium.
