Who will lift the Mdledle Tournament trophy?

The quarter-final, semi-final, and final matches of the Mdledle Soccer Tournament will be played at the Phiphidi Guvhukuvhu Grounds this weekend.

The quarter-final matches will take place on Saturday. In the first clash, Duthuni Happy Boys, who beat Rockers FC 5-3 last Sunday, will meet Mighty Super Power. The match is scheduled to start at 09:00.

United Artists will face Thohoyandou Manchester Flying Stars in the second fixture. United Artists defeated Makonde FC 5-4 in their opening match last Saturday to secure a place in the quarter-finals, while Manchester Flying Stars triumphed over Makhuvha Up The Ants 2-0.

Madridtas FC and Vhembe Tron FC will meet shortly after midday. The day’s programme will conclude with the match between Ngwenani Young Chiefs and Vondwe XI Bullets. The winner of this match is likely to lift the trophy the following day. Bullets defeated Saudi FC 4-3 in their opening match, while Young Chiefs advanced to the quarter-finals by beating Duthuni Happy Boys 3-0.

The toss for the semi-final matches will be conducted at the grounds after the last quarter-final game. The champions will receive R12,000, a floating trophy, a soccer kit, five soccer balls, and gold medals. The team finishing in second place will receive R5,000, a soccer kit, silver medals, and three soccer balls.

Teams eliminated in the semi-final round will each take home R1,500 and two soccer balls. The remaining teams will each receive a consolation prize of one soccer ball. The player of the tournament, best goalkeeper, top goal scorer, youngest player, and best coach will each be awarded R1,500 and a trophy.
