Sinthumulekutama ladies aim for promotion

The team manager of Sinthumulekutama Ladies, Mr Caswell Mohale, is optimistic that his team will soon gain promotion to the top national league. The team, which competed in the SAFA Limpopo Sasol Women’s League this season, will face Ramatlaohle Ladies FC in the provincial play-offs at the University of Limpopo on Saturday.

The girls from the western side of Louis Trichardt qualified for the play-offs after finishing at the top of Stream B.

Mohale was very impressed with his team, saying they were committed to becoming the best team in Limpopo Province. The team purchased the status from Two For Joy Ladies at the beginning of the year. He attributed the team’s success to their focus on young talent, noting that the Sinthumule and Kutama areas have an abundance of skilled players.

Regarding Saturday’s match, Mohale said the outcome now rested with the technical staff and players. “We know it won’t be an easy game, but by the end of the match, we will be the winners,” he said.

The team’s head coach, Mr Thikhathali Libago, said that at the start of the season, he had been given the mandate to ensure they finished at the top of the log. “The girls are doing their best, and I am impressed with their performance,” he said.

He added that their goal was to use the promotional play-off matches as a stepping stone to the SAFA Hollywoodbets Women’s League. “Just reaching the promotional play-offs has boosted the girls’ confidence and motivation,” he added.
