Sport - Date: 13 September 2024

The round-of-16 matches for the ABC Foundation Soccer Tournament will be held at the Khubvi Benjie’s Grounds this weekend, with four matches scheduled for Saturday and four more on Sunday.

One of the most anticipated fixtures on Saturday is between Eagles United and Mukula Young Santos, kicking off in the morning. Rabali Pull Together will face Musasenda Big Five in the second match, starting at 12:00. Anel Real Vikings will meet Rockers FC next, followed by SMSA FC taking on Univen FC in the late afternoon. The SMSA and Univen clash is expected to be intense, given both teams' stellar performances in their opening matches—SMSA dominated Dipeni FC with a 3-0 victory, while Univen FC dismantled Thengwe Flying Peace 5-1.

Sunday morning will see Tshamutilikwa Fire Boys take on ABC FC. Both teams earned their place through nail-biting penalty shootouts: Fire Boys won 5-4 against Thohoyandou Manchester Flying Stars, while ABC FC secured a 7-6 victory over Malavuwe Great Movers. Later in the day, Mashamba Soccer Academy will meet Matsika Shooting Stars, followed by Gondeni Big Cat's clash with Makonde Home Defenders at 14:00. The final match of the day will feature Benny’s Care Academy against Napoli FC.
