Maebane Soccer Academy were crowned champions of the Tsanwani Raymond Raduvha Foundation Top-8 Soccer tournament when they defeated Muduluni Young Chiefs 2-1 in the final match at Madabani on Sunday.

Marude Secondary School was crowned the champion of the Ifani Soccer Tournament at the Thohoyandou Technical High School Grounds last Saturday. Marude finished the tournament on top of the log with four points.

Boxing fans were devasted to learn about the death of South African bantamweight champion Ronald “King” Malindi. The 29-year-old boxer from Tshakhuma died at the Helen Joseph Hospital in Gauteng on Monday, 7 October, after fighting for his life for weeks. The 29-year-old boxer from Tshakhuma was shot in the head and chest in the Westbury Township on 5 September during a robbery.

The winners of the four streams in the Mathoho knock-out competition will participate in the finals of the competition at the Makhado Show Grounds on Saturday, 14 October.

The second batch of the last-16-round matches of the Vhuthu Mobile Fridge Soccer Tournament will be played at the Gondeni Stadium on Saturday.
